i used to be very comforted by the fact i made friends with some people i've dated in the past. i told myself it was because i didnt lose a friendship.


but now i realise. its hardly a badge i should wear proudly. because if you give your fucking best. and it doesnt work out. being friends should be impossible.

on saturday may17. there's a charity carwash held by the national and olympic sailors to raise funds for our burmese counterparts whose houses and yacht club had been blown away by the cyclone. proceeds for this event will go directly to these affected sailors whom we'd have many memories with. fierce on the water, friends off it. thats our style. ITS TODAY!
for those with cars, or a big heart. please head down to nsc(national sailing centre) along the east coast parkway. call me. i'll direct you and make sure u'll have a clean car or a full heart at the very least.


on another note, im leaving when the month expires. next week will be awesome time to catch up. i'll be gone till the next semester starts. so i'd like to catch up with you. whoever you are. leave an sms or a tag ya.

there was a girl,

she had an evening to herself. and she came down to siglap. had ice cream and was left squirming because she preferred to have ate and paid. sat on bridges and wasted time.

she had a party. her own birthday party. cried her eyes out and looked terrible. terribly real. it was 11pm and i was hungry. before 12 i was lurched over a packet of 5 star chicken rice. in semi disbelief. she doesnt drive. my hunger was banished.

she only asked me for one thing, to do her finance assignment for her.
and i wish she'd know that i'd do much more than just type out stuff on computers for her. her parents taught her to rely on herself and demand nothing. i hope she'd ask me for the world.

what the holidays were supposed to be like.

went to school for cp meeting. thanks miah for reminding me.
had dinner with nancy rebec teh² and miah. alot of nice chats and funny moments. pity nancy left early. thanks to jeremy.

ha. apparently miah said poker at jianwens place. but it didnt work out. so we organised last min soccer at 7-9 pm! really didnt know if it was gonna work. but we tried hard.

eventually got 16 people at the court. wtf. 3 teams. and the game was awesome. scoring against ian was like the icing on the cake. nice chats with ivan and polly and xueying. catching up with old friends is really under rated. hmm..

after that. me and ian chatted. from 3am to err. what time issit now. 730am. at my place the at east coast macs for breakfast. seriously. thanks alot.

you wanna know what we talked about? MASLOWS NEED HIERACHY. serious. and we werent kidding around. from happiness to needs and wants. we covered it all. im glad we spent those 4 hours talking about useless things like philosophy, cos i know the world forsakes me, you'll still talk nonsense with me.

hey. back from tioman.

most people were too busy mugging or interning to even know i was away.
but i had fun. ironically, it wasnt the beautiful beaches, soft sand, colourful corals and warm people that made the trip.
it was the food. and the family.

was kinda dodgy, cos i really didnt wanna be away for so long. almost wanted to just pack up after 1 or 2 days. but uknow what. waiting made it worth it. and when i was on the bus out to town yesterday, i texted my parents.

mom and dad, thanks for organising the trip, i enjoyed myself.

and just when that message was sent out, a peace transcended and everything was good again. im glad the 4 of us made it through 5 days in close proximity. a little too close to my dad cos we slept in the living room and his incessant snoring is a real symphony=[

a nice good dinner with sueann. where we left no stone unturned. too bad she's always busy with work and projects. but i guess being one of the first stops in her "charm the world" campaign means something. i wish her and K all the best. beat the odds!

then after that i went to G's to pass her something i ordered online. to my pleasant surprise. i bumped into her whilst sneaking out the back. i dont think spying is a viable career option for me. well. glad she liked it.
